Patrick Ricard

Baltimore Ravens' Pro Bowler and fullback Pat Ricard is a player who has dished out an impressive number of 'pancakes' on the gridiron throughout his impressive career.

This past weekend, Ricard served up pancakes of a different variety - the breakfast food kind - in his hometown of Spencer, Massachusetts. The Ravens player hosted the second "Pancakes with Pat" charity event on a bright Saturday morning.

The event, held at the Spencer Fire Department, offered attendees more than just a plate of hot, buttery flapjacks. It also presented a unique opportunity to meet Ricard in person and get to know the man beyond the gridiron.

Designed to be a family-friendly event, "Pancakes with Pat" also featured a raffle with exciting prizes for the lucky children in attendance. Ricard joins the ranks of Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and Zay Flowers - fellow Ravens players who have hosted charity events geared towards children in their respective hometown communities.

"This community is why I am who I am today," Ricard said at the event. "My wife is from this area. All her friends and family are here. We have a home here. So, I think it's crucial for me to show my face here because I can inspire the youth and anyone who knows my story."

Through this innovative approach of combining his love for football and his community, Ricard has managed to create a unique charity event that not only feeds the stomach but also the soul. As the Pro Bowler continues to serve pancakes both on and off the field, he's proving that success isn't just about personal achievements, but also about giving back to the people and places that molded you.
